Renewing the Glory
This year's Pastor's Wish List is focused on inviting beauty to take hold in our worship of Christ's sacrament of the altar. Over the past few years, we've added to the beauty of our worship through new vestments and chalices, restoring the stained glass windows, and new hymnals. All of these gifts were acts of love from our hearts to God, not too dissimilar to when a spouse bestows a gift on an anniversary.
What does this mean? This year, we're asking you to help our parish make a gift of love by renewing the glory of our altar through new candlesticks, paschal candles, sanctuary lamps, touches for our altar servers, a canopy for processions, and beautiful covers for the Book of the Gospels.
Several current liturgical items, especially the sanctuary lamp and paschal candle stand, are worn and damaged.
